When I was a young lawyer I learnt this very early. My first mentor once told me (and I remember it vividly to this day) that "there is nothing that can't be fixed". While this might seem like a noble but impossible goal the real truth is that acting early gives you the best chance to "fix" any issue.
I see this on a daily basis with, for example, family law and wills. Many of my clients are initially reluctant to just pick up the phone and call for some quick advice to make sure they know their options. I even see this with owners of large businesses who try to manage legal issues that crop up when the best approach would usually be to discuss the best course first.
Some examples of this - "Should I leave the family home if I separate from my spouse?", "Why do I need a Will or Power of Attorney?" and "What's the best way to deal with a dispute I'm having with a customer who is threatening to sue me?".
Some firms (including ours) encourage clients to "call first" by offering a free no obligation consultation to have that important discussion. This approach removes much of the uncertainty (especially for new clients) about the cost and mystery of calling a lawyer and is completely confidential.
The bottom line is - we're very happy to talk to you about any issue that may be concerning or if you just want to separate legal fact from fiction. Just call ...
